Our Reception team will make appointments for you, take requests for visits and repeat prescriptions, give you results of tests when appropriate, answer your queries and offer help and assistance at all times. They do a difficult job well. Please remember, they may ask for information regarding your condition. Patient confidentiality is maintained at the highest level by all staff.
Community Midwives
The Community District Midwife provides antenatal and postnatal services.
Community Nurses
The District Nursing Staff provide expert nursing in your own home and assessment
of your health needs. They advise on any matter of health concern and
provide continuing care after discharge from hospital.
Health Visitors
A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.
Public Health Nurse and Child Health Assistant
The Public Health Nurse and Child Health Assistant provide baby vaccination clinics.
Pharmacist
A new development has been the addition of a Practice Pharmacist who will
advise doctors and patients regarding the effective use of medicines

Attached Staff: First Contact Physiotherapists
Our first contact physiotherapists are experts in problems with your joints, muscles and soft tissue (back pain, neck pain, painful joints or spasms and strains).
The physiotherapists will give you advice and may provide you with exercises and discuss medication. If they feel you require a course of physiotherapy treatment they can refer you or advise you to self refer. They will be able to discuss medication that may help you and may prescribe medication.

Good mental health is just as important as good physical health, and maintaining it should be a priority for everyone. One in 4 people in Northern Ireland will experience problems that affect their mental health. Those with mental health problems often face stigma and discrimination, and fear of these can prevent them from getting help and hinder their recovery.
Your Mental Health Practitioner can
~ provide an initial assessment
~ advise on management of your mental health
~ offer short term treatment
~ direct you to appropriate services
~ refer you to specialist mental health services

Social well-being affects how people feel about themselve,s how well they function and the overall quality of their life. Social workers work with individuals, families and communities to improve their social well-being.
